I'm a theoretical physicist working on simulations of ordered materials, such as magnets, ferroelectrics, and multiferroics.
I work on microscopically inhomogeneous systems. This includes systems that exhibit complex domain patterns, topological defects, and vortices or vortex lines. I am particularly interested in the importance of dimensionality and how seemingly equivalent systems can show fundamentally different behaviors in 2D and 3D. I use GPU simulations to simulate these systems at mesoscoptic length scales and visualize them using tools from traditional computer graphics. Take a look at some of my work below!
I joined the multifunctional ferroic materials group at ETH as a PhD student in 2021, where I am currently finishing my PhD.
