I grew up in the city of Zürich and did my studies at ETH Zürich, and was also lucky to experience an exchange at the University of Tokyo in the group of Masao Ogata, and EPFL in the group of Frédéric Mila. Originally I thought that I might become a mathematical physicist, but after falling in love with the beauty of of condensed matter systems I became computational condensed matter physicist with special focus on visualization instead.
I am currently living in Zürich, where I am finishing my PhD at ETH Zürich in the group of Manfred Fiebig.
When I'm not creating visualizations for my research, I'm visiting historical cities, monuments, and beautiful buildings. I particularly love modern architecture; my favorite monument is the Salginatobelbrücke in Schiers, a marvel of engineering designed by Swiss civil engineer Robert Maillard.
